In a significant move to strengthen relationships within the tourism sector, Kumabirira Holiday Homes, Kariba’s premier accommodation provider, hosted a Business Shower and Familiarisation Tour for local tourism agents, the media, and tour operators.

This event aims to unify the business community while showcasing the offerings of Kumabirira Holiday Homes.

The initiative comes at a crucial time as Zimbabwe has recently been rated a safe travel destination by Oxford Magazine, reaffirming the country’s commitment to security and tourist satisfaction.

As travel restrictions ease globally, events like these are essential in enticing both domestic and foreign travelers to the picturesque Kariba region.

The familiarisation tour provided agents with a unique opportunity to explore Kumabirira’s facilities, which cater to families, groups, and corporate bookings.

Attendees were given guided tours of the property, allowing them to get firsthand experience of the luxury and comfort Kumabirira offers.

“We believe that familiarising tourism agents with our establishment not only enhances their understanding but also encourages them to recommend us to their clients,” said Patience Kuona, Director of Thorngrow Enterprises.

“By highlighting our amenities, we hope to establish strategic partnerships that will benefit everyone involved in the tourism sector.”

Tour operators expressed optimism about the collaboration. “These kinds of events are vital for creating connections and enhancing product knowledge among agents,” commented Eliot Manzvenga, a leading tour operator in Kariba.

“Kumabirira Holiday Homes has positioned itself as a premier accommodation provider, and I’m excited to relay this to my clients.”

Kariba Publicity Association Chairperson, Eliwe Charuma, shared her sentiments: “Understanding the accommodations we promote is essential in this industry.

“This tour has equipped us with the necessary insights to effectively market Kumabirira and Kariba to our clients.”

Kumabirira Holiday Homes is dedicated to enhancing the tourism experience in Kariba, and events like the Business Shower reaffirm their commitment.

With Zimbabwe gaining recognition as a safe travel destination, the future looks promising for the hospitality industry in the region.

As the tour concluded, attendees left with a renewed sense of purpose and excitement, ready to promote Kariba as a unique holiday destination.
