Bishop-General Addy Kasi who had been missing on Sunday Services streamed online in the last two weeks escaped death by a whisker after he fully recovered from Covid-19 attack.
The Upperview Ministries International founder was hospitalized after his oxygen saturation levels ran steep below the minimum.
Sources told Gem Nation News that the United Kingdom-based Zimbabwean preacher BG Kasi as he is popularly known collapsed in the corridor and could not breathe.
In an interview, BG Kasi quoted Mark 16:18 saying he had been bitten but not hurt like what happened to Paul.
“In Mark 16: 18, Jesus had told disciples that even if they pick up snakes they shall by no means hurt them. But we find Paul picking up a snake at Malta when their ship had been destroyed.
“When they made a fire with help of the locals. Paul then picked up some firewood to add into the fire and there he was bitten by a lethal viper,” he explained.
“Although Jesus had said the snakes will not hurt the believers, Paul was still bitten. He explained that Jesus had not said the sables will not bite you but that they will not hurt you that’s why the known lethal snake bite could not kill him. That means bitten but not hurt. The words of Jesus were fulfilled.
“Where there is a word declared, it will be tested. Jesus declared the word about snakes not hurting believers and it was tested on Paul. I was on the forefront encouraging, helping and praying for Covid-19 victims telling them you have the blood of Jesus as your vaccine, “nhomba” and Covid-19 will not kill you,” he explained.
“Many were healed and testimonies are just encouraging. But that has to be proved on Paul, this time, on me.”
Returning from his Zimbabwe trip, BG Kasi found in a few days the whole family had tested positive for Covid-19.
He commended Reverend Ivy Kasi for her strength to look after the whole of family while she also had the illness.
Although the family recovered within time, it was not the same for the Bishop-General as he is reported to have escaped death by a whisker.
A call from Archbishop Bartholomew Manjoro, founder of Faith World Ministries was out on his ear as he prayed and stopped death.
“The cool breeze descended which made him start breathing. From there it was a steep battle to recovery. It was important that he went through it as it made him understand what people encounter in the circumstances. He missed death. That means although bitten by the snake, in this case the Covid-19, it could not hurt him like Jesus had said,” the source said.
