Zimbabwe’s reputation as a top global travel destination was proudly showcased in Washington, D.C., when the Zimbabwe Tourism Office hosted members of Washington DC Skål at the Embassy of Zimbabwe on 22 October 2025.
The event highlighted Zimbabwe’s recent recognition as the Number One Destination in the World for 2025 by Forbes Magazine, bringing together tourism leaders, travel professionals, and business operators in a dynamic effort to strengthen partnerships and raise the country’s profile within the U.S. market.
The gathering featured a vibrant mix of attendees, including the Founder of Women in Travel & Tourism International, representatives from Airline Pros, travel agents, and business operators, all united in celebrating Zimbabwe’s rich tourism potential.
Guests were treated to an immersive presentation showcasing Zimbabwe’s breathtaking landscapes, world-class attractions, and cultural heritage, with special emphasis on its recent accolade from Forbes.
The presentation was followed by a mini-exhibition featuring authentic cultural artifacts, mesmerizing mbira and marimba performances, and a sampling of Zimbabwean culinary delights.
The event sparked enthusiasm among attendees, inspiring renewed interest in Zimbabwe as a travel destination and paving the way for stronger tourism collaboration between the U.S. and Zimbabwe.
