Saturday, the 29th day of June, 2024, saw Mutare Based Gospel Sensation, Blessing Shumba, stretching his musical muscle once more, following the release of a soulful 11 track Album titled Christos.
An excellently produced piece of great work, the brand new offering is just one gem of an Album.
Muri Nhare Yangu, one track found there, a prayerful song seeking continueous divine protection even in the midst of deadly adversity, was composed in total meditating stance.
Randomly picking another song found on Christos, Moyo Unodisa, is a track which openly reveals the desire to worship The Living GOD until the end of time.
The fusing in of his wife, Mai Shumba, on this project, with her being found on vocals in other songs, spiced up the perfectly worked on Album by Blessing Shumba.
Other prayerful songs attached to Christos include Testimony, Chinoshamisa, Ngaanamatwe, Anorwira, Power of Prayer, Itai Mwari, Onekwai, Vanochengeta and Anomira Neni.
A brother who has been in the Gospel Arena for a couple of years, Shumba has defied all odds through his great artistry by maintaining top class vocal stability ever since he laid his foot on the Gospel Grand Stage.
With only a couple of days old, Christos is destined for top honours should any Gospel Album Awards Nominations emerge.
Some fine piece of work reflecting the rare talent in Blessing Shumba, which, others may liken to wine, for it matures and tastes better with aging.
Christos, indeed an Album and half!
