Zimbabwean born rapper KiddyRich is making a huge splash on the South African hip-hop with his latest EP titled For All The Ladies.
Presented by Nice Entertainment, the 24-year-old KiddyRich’s first solo project is not quite like anything you have heard before.
Its rich in lyrics, wordplay and punchlines.
The EP opens with the title track, and it is one of those special songs that as soon as u hear it, it takes you to another place mentally or emotionally.
Love or hate him, this is part of what makes KiddyRich one of the rappers to watch out for straight out of Zimbabwe.
Another track to tickle your fancy is Commando where KiddyRich born Denzel Mbiriyamveka brings a soothing melody laced by a lingering bass that engages the listener from start to finish.
One Bend Over, OMG you will love this track, a good number of fans who had a listen to the song were of the opinion that it is a gem of a track.
I don’t expect most people to understand but there’s something about Bend Over and not what he’s rapping specifically but that and the sounds and everything, just make you wanna fall in love with it or simply cry.
The EP has that trap soul vibe and it sort of rubs you the right way. No words wasted, very similar melody and cadence.
Fine Girl got to be ladies favourite as KiddyRich shows his softer side — a lover boy. For real, you have to love this cat, man . . . he always bridges the gap of many genres through his vocals and lyrics.
With the team of producers/ composers on his side, including his mentor and dad Gift Bryce, it always works well.
Last but not least the EP ends with Ungowami, a track that believers and non-believers have to agree to disagree that KiddyRich is talented.
As a huge fan of not just new but quality music I couldn’t help but go back down memory lane to those nights just me and my laptop, working while the whole EP is on repeat.
On a scale one to 10 this EP deserves a nine!
