Agatha to release Press On Volume One

Gospel diva — Agatha Murudzwa — is set to release her new album titled Press On Volume One.

The praise and worship singer who has had a music career spanning two decades narrowly missed on the 21st edition of National Arts Merit Awards in February 2023.

She lost to fellow homegirl Dorcas Moyo also from Mutare who scooped the Best Female Gospel Award.

Agatha, however, remained unperturbed by the loss instead pleased with the gift from God.

Now in her mid-40s, Agatha is readying her latest album Press on Volume One comprising Aripo, All is Well, Kwangu Musauye, Tinobuda, Paridza Jeso, Ndovimba Medley, Pora, Regerera, Vhumbamira and I’m Grateful among others.

Agatha will launch her 15th album on March 31 at Radio Zimbabwe Courtyard supported by Mai Patai, Namatai Chinyerere, Ben Dzanamombe and Pastor Norest Matende among others.

Another launch is set for Mutare at Queens Hall on 29 April 2023.

“Being consistent is the best award that I have to my credit because it has made me a favourite of many.

“I feel honoured when people testify that my music is changing their lives. I was sent to perform and bring back lost souls to Christ,” she told the media.

Agatha boast a rich catalogue of albums including Fambai Neni recorded 2003, Ndimi Mwari (2005), Ngatitye Mwari (2007), Hupenyu Hwangu (2009), Mwari Anotiona (2010), Press On (2011), No Pain, No Gain (2013), Grace Period (2015, Breakthrough (2016), The Living Word (2018), It Is Well (2019), Ukholo Lwami (2019), Zvitsauko (2020) and Ikem released in 2021.
