Reverend Dr Toggie Chivaviro has featured South Africa’s Sipho Makkhabane on his new track titled Famba Usacheuke.
Produced by Blessing Masanga, Famba Usacheuke has a sing along beat just the way fans have known Dr Chivaviro.
The two great gospel musicians blend well to produce what might as well be an early Christmas gift to Dr Chivaviro’s fans.
While many are still nostalgic about the success of Ebenezer, Famba Usacheuke is a hit in its own right.
It is an encouragement to people to never give up even in the face of adversity the song says “keep moving’.
Sung in both Zulu and Shona, the track has that appeal and range to reach out to people from a wider cross section.
The refreshing part is that both Dr Chivaviro and Makhabane sort of have the same range of vocal clarity and the lyrics are quite uplifting.
“keep moving, keep trying, keep trying, press on” because God is with you goes the lyrics.
Like all Dr Chivaviro’s compositions, the latest still brings out the best in him.
In an interview with Gem Nation News, Dr Chivaviro said Famba Usacheuke is the title track of his upcoming album due out on January 22, 2023.
“I have always wanted to do a song with Sipho since the 90s when I started music. He has been my biggest inspiration.
“So as I was working on my album 20 I felt it was time to try it out. And I chose the title track of the album for the collaboration,” Dr Chivaviro said.
About the song Dr Chivaviro said: “I felt the need to inspire people to keep working hard not to give up too easily.”
Asked if Famba Usacheuke would surpass the success of Ebenezer, Dr Chivaviro each song is in a league of its own.
“”So we just release songs and it’s the fans who choose how to receive them.
“We are happy when the message gets home that all, but of course Ebenezer is in its own league,” he said.
