Sherwood Golf Club located in Mabelreign will this Sunday host one of the biggest celebrations of the year featuring top musicians Selmor Mtukudzi, Mbeu, Pauline, Bazooka and last but not least Dhadza D.
Sherwood Golf Club is an inclusive platform whose mission is to promote all great music in its diverse genres.
It will be a combination of braai, music and golf at the gig where music lovers don’t need to worry about cover charge as it is absolutely free.
This is the third edition of the Fifth Annual celebrations which are held at the venue every year on August 5.
From as early at 2pm when golfers take to the course there will be music on stage for those that to love to dance as they drink.
Bazooka is one of the talented Zim dancehall artists at the moment with his chart topper Nyota. Of course, he has plenty of other hits including Handikwerete and Danana Naye.
Ex-Mafriq lead singer Pauline Gundidza will also be there to spice thing up with some melodious mbira sounds. Pauline who now plays with a full band is a beauty to watch on stage with her silky voice and chilled personality.
Dhadza D aka Mr Press Gas will be there in full force to excite the crowd especially after a golf when the big guns start shooting.
Dhadza D is a sought-after performer and whenever he is on stage fans go wild to his music which he effortlessly delivers.
Last but not least Selmor Mtukudzi is the icing on the cake as she has a rich discography of hits including songs from his legendary father Oliver.
She is her own woman and her performance has seen her perform overseas where she commands a huge following.
Yasini Dhala, the manager of the joint confirmed it will be lit this Sunday: “And we are not being selective on the audience that we want to grace our occasion hence the line-up that attracts both the young and the mature.
“That is the third 5th August Celebration and it’s held annually. On the day we have lined up so many activities that includes Golf Tournament with winners walking away amazing Prizes, Kids Golf and Jumping Castle,” Yasini said.
