ZB Financial Holdings Remains Committed to Uplifting Communities
“ZB Financial Holdings Limited (ZBFH) remains committed to uplifting communities through its corporate social investments,” ZBFH’s Group Chief Executive Officer, Ron Mutandagayi has said;
“Community social investment has become the heart, soul and the cornerstone of the company’s execution strategy.”
“This year alone, several projects and initiatives with significant benefits to the communities in which the Group operates were implemented. They were focused on promoting health and wellness in the wake of the Covid-19 pandemic, creating a sustainable social and economic impact and empowering communities whilst engendering increased environmental awareness” said Ron.
According to him, these tenets have been incorporated in the ZBFH Group’s code of ethics and its corporate culture, including in how the Group develops and markets its products and services as well as deploying its channels and IT infrastructure.
In pursuit of a socially sustainable brand impact and to complement government’s efforts towards the fight against Coronavirus, the Group sourced PPE for various health service institutions around the country.
In 2019, the company launched the “Spread the Cheer campaign” that saw the leading financial institution assisting vulnerable communities such as children’s homes, elderly care centres and other vulnerable groups with grocery hampers.
The programme was mostly welcomed with tears of joy, fun, dance songs, prayers and speeches of unending gratitude from the recipients. ZBFH Staff members danced and mingled with the young and old alike and listened to their stories of neglect and abandonment by their families and communities. Their sad moments, were momentarily erased by ZBFH’s gesture, which saw children and the elderly expressing their sincere gratitude through singing, dancing and poetry.
ZBFH as one of the largest financial services providers in Zimbabwe, boasts of a diverse range of financial products and services that include savings, investments, structured finance, mortgage finance, property development, insurance, re-insurance , advisory and secretarial services, commercial lending , SME finance and consumer loans. ZB recently launched its VISA cards, Kesto Diaspora Banking, Hospital Cash plan, WhatsApp banking, Zimra Online payment facility and order finance which are all designed to offer customer convenience and enhanced experience especially during this Covid-19 pandemic.
ZB also boasts of regional dealings in Mozambique, Zambia,
Ghana, Swaziland, Lesotho and Botswana through the ZB Reinsurance unit.

ZBFH’s donates Covid-19 prevention material to Bulawayo City Council, St Joseph’s Mission Hospital in Sakubva and Old Mutare Mission Hospital were among the ZB Bank beneficiaries of Covid-19 PPE and other materials.
In a bid to prevent the spread of Covid-19, ZBFH spread its helping hand across various provinces. Muzari Polyclinic in Chinhoyi, Mashonaland West Province was among the recipients of the donations. In Masvingo province, Reformed Church of Zimbabwe (RCZ)’s Morgenster Mission Hospital received liquid soap, hand sanitisers and other PPE materials.
