“Today as we re-launch Pegasus and Branson, we reignite our self- drive not to bury our heads in the sand but to rise to occasion and offer our customers value for money products whose quality and value offering still competes in the export market.

“It’s a double edged sword, we will not let down our local customers, we, today on board them to our refreshed Branson and Pegasus packs packed with our enduring well blended tobaccos from Zimbabwe, undeniably the world’s favourite tobaccos,” he said.

Watinaye said the re-launch of the low brands was a celebration of optimism of Grace and life amid Covid-19 pandemic.

“We owe it to our maker, the Almighty God, Allah. If there is a greatest lesson that we draw from the current scourge of Covid-19 it’s that of, appreciating each day we make it alive and having optimism.

“We, at Pacific were not spared from the ripple effects of Covid-19, our customers were affected, and value chains have been disrupted whereas as well livelihoods have not only been threatened, but greatly questioned. Where will Africa turn to and her people?

“We, at Pacific are always filled by the challenges of the present day as they confront us, we are keen to respond to challenges with practical solutions, to date am pleased to announce to you that our value chains have created more than 100 entrepreneurs, hundreds of families have a decent livelihood,” he said.

Ashleyn Mukamba, the Sales and Marketing, said at the launch that Pacific Cigarette Company was in the business of bringing pleasure to customers and said plans are afoot to bringing more exciting brands.

Pacific Cigarette Company is a business that was created by Zimbabweans.

Over the couple of years Pacific has had a decent say on government’s call for value addition to the country, the people and economy.

Value addition is Africa’s top agenda for its sustainable growth as it is an enabler of both automation, science and societal development.
