Now, that same song is reaching thousands more, touching something deep in the souls of gospel lovers across borders.
The latest release from Celestial Chorus Vol. 3, a hymn titled Ndotondera Kalvari, dropped last Friday. Featuring the soaring voices of Sharon Manyonganise Cherayi and Everton Mlalazi, the video has already amassed over 25,000 views on YouTube.
But for those who have listened, the numbers are just a footnote. The real story is in the comments.
“Amai Cherayi hatina zera navo,” wrote one fan, marveling at the veteran singer’s timeless gift. “She’s an anointed vocal range rover.”
Another listener, clearly moved, described the experience as something beyond music. “Sharon, I praise her for holding the mic when miracles and signs happen,” they wrote. “Vocal range is too divine… Angel singing.”
The praise kept coming. One fan called Sharon a blessing to the nation, adding: “Insanely talented, those vocals are on steroids. Wow. Got goosebumps. Everton, well done.”

For those who were in Harare at the previous Celestial Chorus gathering, the song is already a cherished memory.
It was there that Sharon and Everton first delivered the performance that left audiences spellbound—including Bridging Gaps Foundation founders Dr. Kuda Tagwirei and his wife, Sandra.
The moment was so powerful that the crowd rose in a spontaneous standing ovation as seen in the video.
Reflecting on the release, Sharon shared how personal the hymn feels to her. “I am in awe,” she told The Herald. “Surprisingly, the song is coming out just after my birthday yesterday.”
She added that social media has been alive with reaction, but for her, the project carried a deeper connection.
“I grew up listening to Seventh-day Adventist hymns,” she said.
“So when the music director told me I would be part of it, I was excited because it speaks deeply to me.”
For gospel lovers, Ndotondera Kalvari is being hailed as more than just a new single. It’s a moment—blending the nostalgia of cherished hymns with a fresh, contemporary sound that bridges generations.
And if the comments are anything to go by, it’s a song that arrived exactly when people needed it.
