Gohori Resort Goes Luxe with New Suite & Members’ Bar

By Jonathan Mbiriyamveka

Mutoko, Zimbabwe – Boutique hospitality destination Gohori Resort has announced exciting expansion plans, including the addition of a luxurious Presidential Suite and a members-only bar, further elevating its offering in Zimbabwe’s high-end travel space.

The upcoming Gohori Club Collection — the resort’s new luxury wing — is set for completion by March 2026, perfectly timed for the Northern Hemisphere’s summer travel season.

Nestled within Mutoko’s iconic natural landscape, the development promises panoramic views of the Gohori and surrounding mountains, a signature feature of the region.

“The expansion has been a long time coming,” said Bernard Kasekete, Founder and Owner of Gohori Resort.

“The Gohori Club Collection draws inspiration from the traditions of the Budya people, featuring tranquil, artisan-crafted furnishings and finishes that reflect the serenity of our natural surroundings.”

At the heart of the expansion is a world-class Presidential Suite, designed to rival international standards in elegance and exclusivity.

In addition, the new Hwesa Bar, a members-only lounge, will offer guests an intimate space to unwind, designed with organic forms, earthy tones, and natural elements that blend seamlessly into the resort’s lush, mountainous environment.

Kasekete emphasized the thoughtful design approach:

“Everything at Gohori Resort reflects harmony with nature. The Hwesa Bar incorporates ambient lighting, dense vegetation, and sweeping mountain views to create a haven of both relaxation and purpose.”

Complementing the expansion, Gohori Resort will also roll out a revamped lunch menu, positioning the venue as a must-visit culinary destination in Zimbabwe.

With momentum building, the resort expects a strong finish to the year. Demand from both local and international travelers continues to grow, with bookings already underway for 2025 and beyond.
