Harare – The Public Service Commission (PSC) has urged stakeholders to disregard false reports circulating on social media regarding a supposed new teacher deployment policy.
In a statement, the PSC clarified that no such policy has been introduced and warned the public against believing or spreading misinformation.
According to the Commission, all employment and deployment processes remain unchanged and continue to be conducted through official channels.
Job seekers are advised to verify any recruitment-related information via the PSC’s official platforms, including its website and registered social media accounts.
“The Public Service Commission uses formal channels of communication to inform its valuable stakeholders of any opportunities and developments in the Civil Service,” the statement read. “Prospective employees are encouraged to register through the PSC Online Registration system or visit any PSC offices for assistance.”
The Commission reaffirmed its commitment to supporting educators and improving Zimbabwe’s education sector. It also cautioned against the dangers of misinformation, emphasizing that spreading false news can erode public trust in legitimate employment procedures.
As part of its ongoing efforts to keep the public informed, the PSC encouraged stakeholders to rely on credible sources and to report any suspicious job offers.
“Let us shun falsehoods and work together to build a legitimately informed and vigilant society,” the statement concluded.
